About The Club

Hi, I’m Maria! I’m a photographer, student, and the founder of Medfield Sports Lens, a student-run sports media organization created to capture and celebrate the athletes, teams, and moments that make our school community special.

I started Sports Lens because I’ve always believed there’s so much more to sports than the game. It’s the excitement before a game, the pressure of a close play, the celebration after a win, the emotion after a tough loss, and all the little moments in between. Sports photography has a way of freezing those emotions in time, giving athletes the chance to look back and remember exactly how a moment felt.

Through Sports Lens, my goal is to capture those moments and tell the stories behind the athletes who put so much time, energy, and heart into their sports. What started as an idea has grown into a team of students who share the same passion for photography, sports, and storytelling.

Outside of Sports Lens, I run my own photography business, where I’ve grown my love for capturing people and meaningful moments. For me, photography has never been just about taking a good picture. It’s about creating something that makes someone feel something and gives them a memory they can keep forever.

I’m so excited to continue growing Sports Lens and creating a space where Medfield athletes can feel seen, celebrated, and proud of everything they put into their sport.

Hi, I'm James Hurley, a Medfield local sports photographer. I have been in the business for 5 years and am looking to build a future in sports media. I've built Medfield Sports Lens to help others who want to grow their passion for sports photography.

Hi, I'm Jackson! I’ve been passionate about photography for over a year now. I started with no prior experience, but it quickly became something I loved. Sports Lens is where I found my passion, and developed the skills to take a variety of different styles of photos from, graduations and sports to family and individual sessions.

Sports photography is exciting for me. The fast-paced nature of capturing intense game moments constantly pushes me to improve. However, I also love family sessions and portraits. These sessions allow me to create memories by capturing the warmth and unique dynamics of each family.

My ultimate goal, whether I’m at a sporting event or a family session, is to create genuine photographs that truly capture the essence of the moment and the people involved. I strive to reflect their true personalities and emotions, and I can’t imagine my life without photography.
